Alma Chapter 50

50:1 - "...Moroni did not stop making preparations for war..."
This chapter shows that many smaller acts of preparation are the most effective in making weak things become strong.
If we are to be ready for whatever comes, we must prepare now.


50:1 - "...Moroni did not stop making preparations for war..."
Moroni showed his faith by doing what he could to prepare - and then by trusting the Lord to help protect the country.
We must do what we can in our power to help, but realize that we can't do everything.  We must trust the Lord and have faith in Him.


50:4 - "...he caused towers to be erected that overlooked those works of pickets..."
This is reminiscent of Ezekiel 3:17 where it describes prophets as being watchmen on towers.
The prophets can see further than we can, and we must have the humility to say that the Prophets know what they are talking about and that we need to follow their counsel and direction.
