Alma Chapter 14

14:3 - "...and they were also angry with Alma and Amulek; and because they had testified so plainly against their wickedness, they sought to put them away privily..."
They were angry with Alma and Amulek because they testified of their wickedness.  The wicked take the truth to be hard (1 Nephi 16:2).
If we are taking counsel to be hard, then we should review our lives and see if there is room for repentance.

14:10 - "...and when Amulek saw the pains of the women and children who were consuming in the fire, he also was pained..."
This is an example of the Lord allowing the wicked to slay the righteous so that the justice taken upon the wicked will be just and fair (Alma 60:13).
We should live our lives to the best of our abilities and forgive others their trespasses.  Leave judgment to the Lord.

14:26 - "...O Lord, give us strength according to our faith which is in Christ, even unto deliverance..."
Sometimes we're not sure why we go through some experiences that we have in life, but we know it is for our good.  At the right time, we exercise our faith, and we will have help.
