This is a project years in the making of some of the insights and comments I have about each chapter in the Book of Mormon. Come along for the journey.

Mosiah Chapter 10
10:10 - "...and I, even I, in my old age, did go up to battle against the Lamanites..."
Zeniff was a good example of a good leader - he went up himself to battle against the Lamanites. He was willing to lead them into battle and not just sit back and send them forward.
When I lead, I need to be willing and actually do what I tell others that they need to do!
10:11-19 - "...the Lamanites knew nothing concerning the Lord..."
The Lamanites knew nothing concerning the Lord, contrasted with the Nephites, who were inspired by putting their trust in the Lord.
If we want to win our own battles and be on the Lord's side, we need to find out which side He is on, then make sure that we're on the same side.
Sometimes the Lord takes sides in a battle, but it's always the right side.
10:14 - "...Nephi was more faithful in keeping the commandments of the Lord—therefore he was favored of the Lord..."
Nephi was favored of the Lord because he was faithful in keeping the commandments. The Lord heard his prayers and answered them. If we are faithful in keeping the commandments and covenants, we can have faith that our prayers will be answered.
