Mosiah Chapter 5

5:2 - "...a mighty change in us...or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually..."
This is true repentance...if I want to truly repent, then I will not only leave my sins, but also the desire to sin.  When we do this, we come even closer to Christ (Alma 5:14).

5:7-8 - "...your hearts are changed through faith on his name..."
It is through faith on his name that we have the mighty change of heart.  The only way we will change is if we believe that it is worth it...if we believe that Jesus Christ has atoned for our sins, and that we can have eternal life.

We need to work on gaining this great faith...which comes from keeping our covenants.

5:13 - "...how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served..."
Why do we forget the master?

"...and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart?..."
This is why.  When we let other things take the place of God in our lives, we become a stranger unto Him.  If we want the Lord in our lives, we need to let Him in!
