This is a project years in the making of some of the insights and comments I have about each chapter in the Book of Mormon. Come along for the journey.

Mosiah Chapter 6
6:1-2 - "...king Benjamin thought it was expedient, after having finished speaking to the people, that he should take the names of all those who had entered into a covenant with God to keep his commandments..."
If we want to be good leaders like King Benjamin, then we will remember those we lead. We do that through teaching, service, charity, etc.
6:1-2 - "...[they] entered into a covenant with God to keep his commandments..."
This is a very good way to increase our faith. It's not enough to just make the covenant, though...we need to keep and renew them. We must continually search to bless others, and as we reach out, we will have the Holy Ghost with us more. That is always good!
6:6-7 - "...king Mosiah did cause his people that they should till the earth. And he also, himself, did till the earth..."
King Benjamin was willing to work...putting his actions where his words were. He didn't command them to do anything he wasn't willing to do.
That's another great example of leadership. Live righteously then go and do what you command others to do.
